We are seeking an agile Shipping Executive to manage full-spectrum Import & Export operations. In this key role, you will bridge relationships between global vendors, customs authorities, and key clients, turning complex freight challenges into smooth, on-time deliveries. Key responsibilities:
Shipment Operations:
- Manage end-to-end Air & Sea import/export operations (FCL/LCL), including carrier bookings, cargo tracking, and site delivery arrangements.
Customs & Documentation:
- Prepare, audit, and issue critical shipping documentation—including Notices of Arrival (NOA), Delivery Orders (DO), Bills of Lading (HBL/MBL), Air Waybills (HAWB/MAWB), commercial invoices, packing lists, and trade permits.
- Oversee smooth Singapore Customs clearance for both import and export cargo.
Client & Vendor Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ocean carriers, airlines, hauliers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth cargo clearance and timely updates.
Quotations & Billing:
- Calculate shipping costs, issue timely customer invoices, verify vendor rate sheets, and prepare competitive shipping quotes for client inquiries.
Problem Resolution:
- Resolve operational delays, shipment discrepancies, or customs holds efficiently.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore Customs rules, international trade safety regulations, and internal company operating standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years (Shipping Executive) of customer service or operational experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping (Air/Sea import & export).
- Experience: Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply (Shipping Coordinator), provided they possess baseline industry/shipping knowledge (e.g., relevant diploma, certification, or familiarity with shipping documentation).
- Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of shipment coordination, freight documentation, Incoterms, and basic customs procedures.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (Mandarin/Japanese is an advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Japanese-speaking clients.).
- Core Skills: Strong communication, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
