Job summary

JH WAREHOUSE (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Freight Operations Associate to manage end-to-end shipment execution, documentation, customs clearance and invoicing. Based in Changi, you will serve as a key liaison between clients, overseas partners and carriers to ensure efficient cargo movements.

The role calls for 1–2 years of relevant experience, solid understanding of shipping procedures, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in freight or shipping operations.
• Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate among customers, vendors, warehouse teams and departments for import/export and transshipment cargoes.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents and declarations via TradeNet/PortNet.
• Collaborate with overseas agents, carriers and clients for smooth handovers.
• Maintain proactive communication on shipment status, delays and updates.
• Handle customer inquiries on freight rates and tracking.
• Prepare rate quotations and service proposals.
• Verify vendor changes, transport costs and carrier invoices.
• Generate customer billing and job invoicing.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain service standards.

Location: Changi (43 Changi South Ave 2,Singapore 486164)

Basic Salary: S$2,700 to S$3,000

Working Hours: 5 Working Days, 08:30amto 05:30pm

Manage daily freight operations, handling end-to-end shipment execution, documentation, customs clearance and invoicing. Serve as a key liaison between clients, overseas partners and carriers to ensure efficient and timely cargo movements.

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Coordinate among customers, vendors, warehouse teams and internal departments to manage operational workflows for import, export and transshipment cargoes.
• 2. Prepare and verify shipping documentation and process customs permit declarations via TradeNet/PortNet.
• 3. Work directly with overseas agents, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth shipment handovers.
• 4. Maintain clear and proactive communication regarding shipment status, potential delays and operational updates.
• 5. Field customer inquiries regarding freight rates and shipment tracking.
• 6. Prepare accurate rate quotations and service proposals.
• 7. Verify vendor changes, transport costs and carrier invoices against agreed rates.
• 8. Generate customer billing and job invoicing.
• 9. Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or delays to maintain service standards.

Requirements

• 1. 1-2 years of relevant experience, prior exposure to both air and sea freight import/export processes is a strong advantage.
• 2. Understanding of shipping procedures, documentation and customs clearance.
• 3. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• 4. Problem solving abilities with the initiative to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
