Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is assisting a global MNC in logistics to hire a dependable Freight Forwarding Operations professional in Singapore.

You will manage end-to-end import shipment operations, coordinate with overseas offices and service partners, monitor status, prepare reports, and handle enquiries. Based in the Changi area, the role requires a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related field with at least 2 years’ experience in import/export or freight forwarding.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin or related preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in freight forwarding, air freight operations, import/export or logistics customer service.
• Experience handling key accounts, shipment coordination and billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of air freight processes, import operations and shipment documentation.

Our client is a global MNC in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, providing transportation services worldwide by road, air, sea and rail.

Working Hours

• Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Alternate Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import shipment operations to ensure timely and smooth cargo movement.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, airlines, terminals, transport providers and other service partners to ensure shipments are handled efficiently.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate cargo clearance and delivery arrangements.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve shipment-related issues and complaints promptly.
• Manage shipment exceptions such as cargo discrepancies, damages, delays and special transportation requirements.
• Support the handling of special cargo, including temperature-sensitive and high-value shipments, where required.
• Ensure relevant permits, shipment documentation and customs requirements are properly processed.
• Prepare customer reports, operational updates and performance reports.
• Support billing activities and ensure charges are accurately recorded.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve operational, billing and system-related issues.
• Provide backup support to team members when required to ensure smooth business operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, air freight operations, import/export operations or logistics customer service.
• Experience handling key accounts, shipment coordination and billing activities will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of air freight processes, import operations and shipment documentation.
• Experience handling special cargo such as temperature-sensitive or high-value shipments will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with logistics or shipment management systems.
