About the job Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager

We are looking for a self-driven and experienced Finance Manager or Senior Finance Manager for one of our shipping clients. This role oversees the financial operations of the company and its subsidiaries, managing reporting, compliance, cash flow, and audits. It ensures the preparation of accurate financial statements, supports banking and credit processes, and provides analysis for senior management. The ideal candidate should hold ACCA or CA certifications and have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial operations of the organization and its regional entities.
  • Lead and oversee a team of accountants.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are completed and reviewed within deadlines.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for designated entities.
  • Act as the main liaison for statutory and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to facilitate timely payments.
  • Oversee submissions for credit lines and financing facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Treasury, and maintain banking relationships.
  • Provide support to relevant teams, including operations, credit, and legal.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  • Develop ad-hoc analyses and reports for leadership as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications such as ACCA or CA are highly desirable.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a finance team.
