Overview

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for helping the Company accomplish its objectives by providing reliable financial and operational information, safeguarding the assets by enforcing a high standard of internal controls and compliance with the regulatory requirements and Company policies.

Job responsibilities also include:

  • Ensure monthly and yearly closing, supported by accounting schedules, are prepared on time
  • Handle accounting for financial products (stocks, unit trust, bonds, etc) and related reconciliation
  • Perform bank reconciliation duties
  • Handle daily finance operation matters (fund sighting, raise payment instruction, etc)
  • Preparation of information to external auditors and to meet regulatory reporting requirements with the Authorities such as MAS, ACRA, IRAS and applicable local laws.
  • Ensure compliance with the Securities and Futures Act (“SFA”) and all other regulations applicable
  • Assist in process review and re-engineering by constantly providing IT and non-IT solutions to improve internal controls and work efficiencies
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
  • Knowledge of or experience in the financial or securities broking industry will be advantageous
  • IT knowledge relating to IT system development/management will be preferred
  • Proactive, good oral communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and diverse, multicultural work environment
  • Able to work under a tight timeline and withstand pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application
  • Job position offer will be based on working experience
