Role Overview
We are looking for a Fashion Designer specialised in athleisure apparel and lifestyle accessories to own end-to-end product design, from concept development to production-ready execution.
This role focuses on performance-driven, design-led athleisure products that balance functionality, comfort, and modern aesthetics, built specifically for global e-commerce and DTC channels. You will work closely with brand, product, merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, commercially successful collections across multiple categories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Apparel & Accessories Design
- Design athleisure apparel including (but not limited to): Active tops, bras, leggings, bottoms, outerwear, and sets
- Design lifestyle and sports accessories such as: Bags (duffle, tote, sling), caps, socks, lightweight gear, and functional add-ons
- Translate creative concepts, moodboards, and briefs into cohesive seasonal or capsule collections
2. Product Development & Technical Execution
- Develop detailed tech packs including sketches, measurements, construction notes, trims, and fabric specifications
- Collaborate with pattern makers, sampling teams, and factories to refine fit, function, and wearability
- Review samples, conduct fittings, and drive iterative improvements toward production readiness
3. Fabric, Trim & Performance Consideration
- Select and develop materials suitable for athleisure use (stretch, moisture-wicking, breathability, durability)
- Ensure designs align with performance requirements, comfort standards, and cost targets
- Support sustainable or responsible material choices where applicable
4. Commercial & Channel Alignment
- Design with e-commerce and DTC presentation in mind (silhouette clarity, styling versatility, color stories)
- Align designs with global market needs, size ranges, and pricing architecture
- Work closely with merchandising and brand teams to ensure strong product-market fit
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with brand, marketing, sourcing, and supply‑chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, and on‑time
- Support lookbooks, line sheets, and product visuals for internal and commercial use
Requirements
- 3–7+ years of experience in athleisure, activewear, or lifestyle apparel design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating apparel and/or accessories designed for commercial scale
- Solid understanding of fit, construction, and performance fabrics
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (technical flats essential); familiarity with PLM systems is a plus
- Experience working with OEM / ODM manufacturers, ideally across Asia
- Understanding of global sizing, grading, and production constraints
