The Executive, Sustainability supports the Corporate Services Department in driving Sentosa Golf Club’s sustainability agenda and strategic initiatives. The role plays a key part in strengthening SGC’s position as a global leader in golf sustainability by implementing environmental programmes, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and supporting major Club initiatives and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement SGC’s Sustainability Plan in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Serve as SGC’s liaison for Government and Public Sector sustainability matters, including PSTLES reporting and compliance.
- Plan and execute sustainability-focused programmes such as zero-carbon golf rounds, staff engagement campaigns, and environmental awareness activities.
- Organise Sentosa Learning Journeys, community outreach, and CSR activities.
- Refine and maintain SGC’s sustainability policy documents, standards, and guidelines.
- Lead and support renewable energy projects (e.g., rooftop solar installation) and other green infrastructure efforts.
- Manage carbon accounting activities, including data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct industry scans, trend analyses, and environmental research to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and implement cross-departmental initiatives to support SGC’s sustainability and business roadmap.
- Prepare reports, presentation decks, and management updates on sustainability performance and initiatives.
- Support major Club events and tournaments, ensuring sustainability components and operational alignment.
- Assist in other projects and duties as required.
Job Requirements
- University degree in any discipline; fields related to sustainability, or environmental science will be an advantage.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability, policy implementation, strategy, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and develop win-win solutions across diverse stakeholders.
- Innovative and attuned to current sustainability trends, with the ability to think creatively and practically.
- Strong execution skills with the ability to translate ideas into actionable outcomes.
- Interest in the leisure, hospitality, or sports sector, especially golf, preferred.
