Job description

The Operations Excellence Executive / Senior Executive is responsible for driving innovation initiatives across warehouse and supply chain operations to improve operational efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and scalability. This role focuses on identifying operational gaps, designing innovative and technology-driven solutions, and supporting the implementation of innovation projects in line with YCH Group’s innovation roadmap.

The role requires a strong understanding of end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations, combined with the ability to translate operational challenges into practical, scalable, and technology-enabled solutions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Innovation Deployment & Project Execution
  - Support the deployment of innovative solutions aligned with the company’s innovation roadmap to enhance warehouse and supply chain productivity, efficiency, and process optimisation.
  - Participate in end-to-end innovation project activities, including requirement gathering, solution conceptualisation, design, implementation, testing, validation of effectiveness, user training, and post‑implementation support.
  - Assist in managing innovation projects by coordinating with internal stakeholders, operations teams, and external vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery.

• Process Improvement & Solution Design
  - Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, or constraints within existing logistics and warehouse processes, and propose innovative, technology‑driven solutions.
  - Develop clear problem statements, functional requirements, and solution specifications for innovation initiatives.
  - Work with third‑party vendors and technology partners to design and implement automation solutions, including systems for automated scanning of carton tags and warehouse location tags.
  - Contribute to the design and development of software systems that interface with autonomous technologies (e.g. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – UAVs) for inventory management and stock verification.

• Stakeholder Management & Reporting
  - Work closely with warehouse operations, IT, engineering, safety, and business stakeholders to align innovation solutions with operational needs.
  - Track and monitor project and programme status, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  - Support the preparation of project reports, including progress updates, budget tracking, cost control, and commercialisation or value‑realisation outcomes.

• Operational Readiness & Innovation Culture
  - Support operational readiness across facilities, including safety, administrative processes, and innovation infrastructure.
  Execute continuous improvement initiatives to support YCH Group’s long‑term innovation and operational excellence goals.
  - Contribute to building and sustaining an innovation‑driven culture across the organisation by supporting pilot projects, trials, and innovation programmes.

• Technology & Market Intelligence
  - Monitor, research, and analyse emerging innovation and automation technologies, digital tools, and industry trends that could enhance logistics and supply chain services.
  - Perform other innovation‑related tasks or projects as assigned by the superior.
