About The Role

The Industry Relations team within NUS CFG is responsible for the strategies that enhance the university’s position as a premium talent source for early careers and advanced degree candidates. We work closely with employer partners to drive the growth of campus engagement initiatives, internships, and job opportunities for our students. We also collaborate with teams within NUS CFG and across faculties and departments to curate industry‑oriented training programs to enhance our students’ employability.

Serving the entire spectrum of students from undergraduates to post‑graduates, CFG offers more than 15 unit‑bearing courses in collaboration with academic and industry partners. We continuously innovate and enhance the quality of our offerings, as our students deserve the best tools, preparedness, and mindset to not just launch a good career, but be equipped with life skills that can help them navigate a future that is unpredictable.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cultivate relationships and build trust with employer partners within assigned industries and/or geographies to understand the companies’ hiring pain points and priorities to pursue new growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employer partners’ campus engagements and hiring needs, including their onboarding on NUS platforms.
  • Prospect and generate leads within assigned industries and/or geographies, to increase student‑employer engagement events, internships, and jobs opportunities for NUS students.
  • Maintain and update client database, prepare accurate and insightful reports on employer interactions for progress tracking and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop a functional understanding of NUS internship programmes, CFG initiatives and services to effectively pitch them to employer partners.
Industry Analysis and Strategy Development
  • Understand employer partners’ businesses and objectives through industry research, asking thoughtful questions during interactions, and active listening to the market needs.
  • Develop industry engagement strategies and value propositions for employer partners in assigned industries and/or geographies to position NUS as the premium talent source for early careers and advanced degree candidates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to curate industry‑specific programs and initiatives to profile assigned industries and/or geographies and share industry insights with NUS students and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Degree holder with up to three years of work experience in strategy, consulting, market research, or human capital development role.
  • Fresh graduates with strong motivation and drive to kickstart their career in industry relations and contribute to the career development of NUS students are welcome to apply.
  • Skillsets and prior experience in account management, sales, business development, or strategy development would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – able to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority from campus recruiter to c‑suite executives.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
  • Adaptable – able to identify and respond quickly to changes in the industries and priorities.
  • Organised – able to establish and run processes and workflows in a structured manner.
