Programme and Befriender Management
Purpose of Role

To manage and strengthen SNSA’s programme delivery while overseeing the Befriender network. The role ensures effective volunteer engagement, quality programme design, and alignment with SNSA’s vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support delivery of SNSA programmes, including hybrid and in-person activities.
  • Contribute to programme design and improvements to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Support logistics for programme events and initiatives.
  • Lead relaunch planning of the Befriending Programme, including training refreshers, SOP reviews, and database updates.
  • Manage matching systems (e.g., Hold-Your-Hand) to ensure effective volunteer-stroke survivor pairing.
  • Develop and implement volunteer management policies and frameworks.
  • Create and manage training programmes for volunteers, including progression pathways (Befriender vs Champion).
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and recognition of volunteers.
  • Serve as liaison between SNSA and its volunteers, ensuring regular engagement and support.
  • Establish feedback loops and monitoring systems to ensure quality assurance across programmes.
  • Plan and coordinate membership drives to expand SNSA’s community base.
  • Build relationships with members, volunteers, and partners to strengthen engagement.
  • Collaborate on IT and database systems for volunteer/membership tracking and impact reporting.
