Job Purpose
As an HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the business units or departments you support, providing strategic HR guidance, solutions, and support. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, managers, and employees, to implement HR initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and performance.
Principal Accountabilities
You will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, managing employee relations, talent management, performance management, and ensuring HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Business Partnership
- Develop a deep understanding of the business units/departments you support and their strategic objectives.
- Consult and collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Provide guidance and support in workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives.
Talent Acquisition and Management
- Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to attract and select top talent.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires and ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
- Assist in implementation of framework/system on employee development, succession planning, and career path.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and leaders on employee relations matters.
- Manage and resolves complex employee relations issues, ensure managers and employees in compliance with company policies and procedures and labor legislation.
- Provide guidance and support on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and provide recommendations for resolution.
Performance Management
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
- Identify performance trends and develop strategies to address performance gaps.
HR Policy and Compliance
- Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and revise HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.
- Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations and provide guidance on HR-related compliance matters.
- Support managers in implementing and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Briefing line managers on the policies and procedures of an organization in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues.
Employee Engagement and Communication
- Develop and implement employee communication strategies to foster transparency and alignment.
- Support the implementation of employee recognition and retention initiatives.
- Ad hoc projects that drive employee engagement and create a positive work environment.
Recommended Credentials
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience as an HRBP or in a similar HR role for internship or project is highly advantageous but not a must.
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws will be highly advantageous but not a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong consulting and problem-solving abilities.
