Job summary

AL SHEIKA KITCHEN PTE. LTD. is seeking a Chief Cook to lead our kitchen operations in Singapore.

You will create and implement the restaurant menu, considering customer preferences and ingredient availability, and ensure high quality dishes. You will manage daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, purchasing, and budget oversight, while training and supervising the kitchen team to uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive training in food prep, kitchen mgmt, and sanitation.
• Progression from line cook or apprentice chef.
• Years in professional kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement the restaurant’s menu considering preferences and ingredients.
• Manage daily kitchen operations including scheduling, supplies, and budget.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks and dishwashers.
• Coordinate with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth operation.
• Stay current with trends by attending classes and researching recipes and equipment.
