Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive training in all aspects of food preparation, including cooking techniques, kitchen management, and sanitation.
• Experience in a professional kitchen with progression through kitchen roles.
• Strong leadership, management, communication, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement the restaurant menu, considering customer preferences and ingredient availability.
• Manage daily kitchen operations: scheduling staff, ordering supplies, and budgeting.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff (sous chefs, line cooks, dishwashers) to ensure training and safety standards.
• Coordinate with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations and customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with culinary trends through classes, workshops, and recipe/technique research.
