We are a reputable tuition centre in Singapore, committed to supporting Chinese international students in achieving strong academic success. With a primary focus on GCE O-Level English, we specialise in helping students who are either currently studying in Singapore government schools or preparing to enter them.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate, experienced, and strategic Lead English Teacher to strengthen our English department and lead our students to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of GCE O-Level English curriculum, ensuring alignment with MOE expectations and examination requirements.
- Oversee lesson planning and classroom delivery to maintain high academic standards and ensure effective learning outcomes for Chinese international students.
- Train, mentor, and support the English teaching team through regular workshops, lesson observations, and constructive performance evaluations.
- Develop personalised learning pathways based on students’ diagnostic assessments, school performance, and O-Level targets.
- Continuously review and improve teaching resources, assessment tools, and practice materials based on updated exam trends and student feedback.
- Track students’ progress closely, provide targeted academic interventions, and communicate learning results to parents when necessary.
- Collaborate with the management team to align academic strategy with organisational goals, programme expansion, and student success metrics.
- Ensure strong classroom engagement through differentiated teaching, scaffolded learning, and effective language acquisition approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in English, Education, TESOL/TEFL, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, with 2+ years in curriculum development or teacher training roles.
- Strong familiarity with Olevel English assessments.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor teaching staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with Chinese students or ESL learners is a strong advantage.
- We do not provide any work pass.
- Must be able to speak Chinese (to communicate effectively with students and parents)
- Be able to attend both our centres located near Kembangan and Kovan MRT stations.
Working Hours
- Monday: Off
- Tuesday: Half-day, work starts at 4:00 PM
- Wednesday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Preferred Qualities
- Prior leadership or academic coordinator experience in a tuition centre or international school.
- Creative and adaptive mindset toward education innovation.
- Ability to bridge academic rigor with a supportive learning environment.
