Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in facility and utility management, CAPEX projects, and operation & maintenance of critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Black Utilities projects (Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers), preventive and corrective maintenance, project execution, and regulatory compliance within pharmaceutical or biotech environments. The role requires hands‑on involvement in project management, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and team coordination.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage CAPEX projects related to utilities and plant facilities, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and energy‑saving initiatives.
  • Prepare business cases, funding documents, RFP timelines, vendor quotations, and facilitate bidding processes.
  • Oversee full project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, to handover to operations & maintenance teams.
  • Manage operation and maintenance of utilities including HVAC systems, AHUs, PW generation, WFI systems, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting for cold rooms, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and plant facilities.
  • Implement safety procedures (Hot Work, Work at Height, Line Break, Confined Space, PTW) and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, PM closures, temperature mapping reports, change controls, CAPAs, and qualification reports (URS, IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Lead audits, inspections, and Gemba walkdowns with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and internal quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to execute projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Mentor junior engineers and supervise teams to achieve operational excellence and maintain high standards of engineering practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, facility utilities, CAPEX projects, and maintenance operations in related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, BMS, water treatment plants (PWG, WFI, WFID), and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Hands‑on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and project commissioning.
  • Proficient in SAP, CMMS, Enablon, and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience in budget preparation, purchase requisitions, and vendor management.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills including SOPs, PM closures, CAPA, URS, IQ, OQ, PQ.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and cross‑functional team coordination skills.
  • Certification in training AutoCAD and/or relevant technical certifications
