Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Technician to handle the disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of diesel engine components. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a mechanical workshop and be familiar with using hand tools and ensuring safety practices. Responsibilities include working on customer sites and collaborating with quality inspectors to address non-conformities. Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Carry out disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing of diesel engine components such as cylinder heads, fuel pumps, turbochargers, pistons, and connecting rods.
  • Perform mechanical fitting and assembly work based on technical drawings, service manuals, and job instructions.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, organize tools, and follow 5S practices in assigned work areas.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors to ensure non-conformities are addressed and corrected.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, job safety analyses, and team discussions on work progress and safety.
  • Travel to customer sites, vessels, shipyards, and offshore locations as required by project assignments, complying with site-specific safety and access requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a mechanical workshop or similar environment (No experience are welcome to apply).
  • Familiarity with disassembly and assembly of diesel engines or mechanical equipment.
