Qualifications

• The candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 8–12+ years of relevant experience in data centres or large-scale power infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear and protective relaying.
• Experience coordinating design, installation, testing and commissioning with contractors and vendors.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills; Singapore registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across large-scale data centre projects from design coordination to handover.
• Review drawings, specifications, equipment submissions and installation methodologies for clashes and risks.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and ensure defect resolution prior to handover.

Role

Our client is a growing data centre infrastructure business delivering technically complex, mission-critical facilities across Singapore and the region. As part of its continued development and expansion activities, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical engineering delivery across large-scale data centre projects.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will take responsibility for electrical engineering activities from design coordination and technical review through equipment installation, testing, commissioning and operational handover.

You will oversee critical electrical infrastructure including MV/LV distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS, standby generators and associated power distribution equipment. Working closely with design consultants, MEP contractors, equipment vendors and project delivery teams, you will ensure that electrical systems meet project requirements for capacity, redundancy, reliability and operational safety.

The role will involve reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment submissions and installation methodologies, while identifying potential design conflicts, construction risks and technical issues. You will coordinate testing and commissioning activities, support integrated systems testing and ensure outstanding defects are resolved prior to operational handover.

You will also monitor engineering progress against project milestones, provide technical guidance to site teams and contribute to design optimisation, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 8-12 years of relevant electrical engineering experience across data centres, mission-critical facilities, power infrastructure or large-scale MEP projects.

You should have a strong understanding of MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, electrical protection and redundancy configurations. Experience coordinating electrical design, installation, testing and commissioning activities is essential.

Candidates should be confident reviewing technical drawings and specifications, managing engineering contractors and resolving complex electrical issues in a project environment. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required. Relevant Singapore professional registration will be advantageous where applicable.
