Job summary

A local kindergarten in Singapore is looking for a dedicated educator to nurture young children in a positive and engaging environment. The role includes planning and delivering lessons tailored to children's developmental needs. Candidates should have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, preferably with ECDA certification, and at least 2 years of teaching experience. Strong communication skills and passion for child development are essential. The position requires bilingual proficiency and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the centre’s curriculum and learning goals.
  • Support children’s development in the areas of language, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and motor coordination.
  • Observe and document children’s progress through portfolios, learning stories, or developmental checklists.
  • Maintain a warm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and centre leadership in lesson planning, event coordination, and project work.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, including informal check-ins and scheduled conferences.
  • Ensure daily routines (snack time, toileting, transitions) are carried out in a caring and developmentally appropriate manner.
  • Support children with varying needs and ensure inclusion for all.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T or equivalent)
