Job description
This role exists to:
  • To organize and conduct driver training
  • To evaluate and motivate drivers
  • To manage drivers development
Key Internal Relationships:
  • Operations Managers
  • Compliance Manager
  • Site Manager
  • Site Schedulers / Supervisors
Process:
  • Visible leadership and participation in all HSSE programs and activities;
  • Assist management in the preparation of HR paperwork
  • Assist within the country team environment on ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Assist with IGH operations as Relief Driver
  • Assist with ensuring ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 policy align.
Customers:
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate achievements of objectives and targets.
  • Deal effectively with queries from both internal and external customers.
  • Timely, accurate preparation of documents.
  • Assist to attend Customer HSE meetings
Finance:
  • Identify improvements in systems and methods that will lead to increases in productivity and /or reduction in costs.
  • Identify HSSE breach resulting in financial losses to the organization.
People:
  • Maintaining training requirements for all levels.
  • Develop employees to maximize their potential.
  • Facilitate regular, balanced assessment and feedback to employees
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with Linfox policies and rules
  • Maintain positive relationships with managers, colleagues and external contacts
  • Ensure compliance with Linfox Fatigue Management Policies and Practices.
  • To conduct interviews and investigation of driver fatigue breaches and unsafe behavior.
  • To monitor driver fatigue breaches and unsafe behavior.
  • Conduct performance reviews with direct reports monthly.
  • Update each driver’s file & others records
  • Induct, train, educate & coach drivers
  • Conduct refresher trainings & re-assess drivers annually (100%)
  • Conduct remedial training & re-assess driver as needed
  • Communicating safety rules to drivers
  • Assess driver performance (In-cab)
  • Encourage near miss, hazard submission from drivers
  • Assist in incident/accident investigation & analyses
  • Responsible for annual driver medical check compliance
  • Update driver license & permit file and other documentations.
  • To monitor OBC, unsafe behavior and Fatigue violations
  • Conduct Drug & Alcohol test & keep records monthly
  • Toolbox in person (85% attendance achieve)
  • Co-ordinate with customers trainers on activities
  • Conduct Driver Safety Meeting ( DSM)
  • Assist and Participate in all safety activities and programs.
  • Perform spot check and audit on drivers and equipment.
  • Support operation as back up driver if needed.

  • Customers operations and dispatch staff
  • Customers site safety representatives
