Job description

The job holder will lead initiatives related to Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience, ensuring the organization is well-prepared to respond to disruptions and maintain critical operations.

This role covers the APAC, with the Singapore office serving as the regional hub for BCM/BCP activities. The job holder will also be expected to liaise regularly with the Tokyo Head Office, ensuring alignment with global standards and policies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience strategies
  • Design and define BCM goals, objectives, and scope aligned with business plans and crisis management frameworks
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive crisis and business continuity plans across relevant entities
  • Act as a key coordinator during incidents, leading cross-functional response efforts involving Security, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Operations, and IT teams
  • Promote the digitalization of BCM management, including the adoption of tools and platforms to enhance monitoring, reporting, and automation of continuity planning
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify resilience gaps, set Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), and communicate business expectations
  • Recommend and implement adaptable maintenance strategies that align with the bank’s growth, changes, and resource capabilities
  • Oversee BCM/BCP activities across the APAC region, with Singapore serving as the regional hub, and liaise with Tokyo Head Office as needed
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least 10 to 13 years of proven experience in managing business continuity and/or Operational Resilience within a large organization
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience in implementing BCP in accordance with MAS or other regulatory guidelines
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to lead effectively during crisis situations
  • Knowledge of Third Party Risk Management and IT/ Cyber Security is a strong advantage
