What the role is

The Supervisory Methodologies, Tools and Analytics (SMTA) division within the Inspection & Supervisory Methodologies Department (IMD) designs frameworks and methodologies for effective supervision of banks in Singapore. We work in close partnership with banking supervision colleagues.

What you will be working on

The Data Management Team (DMT), in the SMTA division in IMD, is responsible for the data strategies and the supporting tech solutions to underpin better data-driven banking supervision.

  • Managing data catalogues and maintaining relevance of metadata.
  • Refining data collection/consumption by migrating data collection to more efficient channels.
  • Driving records management efforts.
  • Improving data quality by performing data cleaning and validation checks.
  • Generating ad-hoc reports on data trends and analysis.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and the needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.

What we are looking for
  • Understanding of business requirements to translate into business specifications, user stories and use cases.
  • Familiar with using data products, including Tableau suite of products.
  • Familiar in coding languages commonly used in data analytics, including Python.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders.
  • Curiosity to get to the bottom of things.
  • Keen eye for detail and always looking for opportunities to make a difference.
  • Open to new ideas and possibilities.
  • Eager to challenge yourself and push boundaries.
  • Good understanding of banking and financial services industry would be an advantage but not a must.
