A chemical manufacturing company in Singapore seeks a skilled candidate to assist in control operations and ensure process compliance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 2 years of DCS operation experience. Responsibilities include liaising with technical teams, ensuring safety standards, and participating in process optimization. Assist shift superintendent in plant control operation
Ensure and endorse (log sheets) all process parameters are maintained within specifications of operational manual
Tuning of control panels to achieve desired process parameters
Coordinate with process technician on field parameters and sampled analysis
Coordinate with laboratory technician on quality of raw materials, feed and final products
Liaise with pipeline customers’ control operators on delivery of products
Recording of customers’ off-take for billing purposes
Ensure stock levels in tanks and liaise with logistic section for dispatch / receipt
Assist shift superintendent in briefing and taking/handing over of shift duties
Ensure of safety in plant start-up and shutdown
Report any abnormality to shift superintendent / production manager / plant manager
Ensure safety equipment is ready and accounted for in control room where he/she is responsible
Participate in emergency response execution
Keep the control room and FCS room neat and tidy
Assist in the root cause of failure analysis and follow up with corrective and preventive action
Ensure work activity in compliance with WSH act
Participate in production optimization activities like recycling the wastewater reducing the chemical consumption, cost effective power saving etc.
Conduct, mentor and supervise training of process technicians in plant DCS operation
Ensure all the field log sheets are collected and stored at specified locations periodically
Assist in providing process operating data to process section for plant improvement studies
To actively involved in achieving KPI, ISO objective and targets, OSH objective and targets
Any other ad‑hoc duties assigned by Management from time‑to‑time
Degree/Diploma/ITC/NTC in Engineering – Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology
Minimum 2 years DCS system operation experience
Communicationskills including inter‑departmental collaboration
Ability to thrive infast‑paced, dynamic environments
