Job summary

A leading educational support service provider is seeking essential kitchen support for the Nutrition and Food Science teachers. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring safety during practical lessons. Candidates should possess a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate and prior experience in food preparation is highly preferred. This role requires proficiency in knife skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Work hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM, with competitive pay up to $15/hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.
• Proficient in various cutting skills and able to prepare different types of produce.
• Prior experience in a school canteen, catering, or commercial kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for student practical lessons.
• Maintain cleanliness of culinary laboratories and kitchen equipment.
• Check stock levels and assist with grocery deliveries.
• Ensure kitchen safety and hygiene standards are followed.
• Assist during national practical examinations logistics.
