Job summary

ACROMEC ENGINEERS PTE LTD is seeking a proactive Procurement Assistant Executive to join our team in the construction sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with no prior working experience who want to build a career in procurement.

You will handle daily purchasing, help source suppliers, liaise with project managers and engineers, and prepare POs, LOAs and VOs. Strong Excel/Word skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing activities and support procurement operations.
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials, equipment and services.
• Liaise with Project/ Service Managers, Engineers and other internal departments to verify requisitions and obtain approvals.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO), Letter of Award (LOA) and Variation Order (VO).
• Verify supplier/subcontractor invoices and ensure documents are complete for timely processing.
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and filing systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
