Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement plan based on product specifications and customer needs.
  • Manage relationships with vendors for effective procurement transactions.
  • Monitor compliance of procurement targets.
  • Determine inventory levels and prepare purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts.
  • Conduct checks on documentation for trade transactions.
  • Collaborate with sales and finance to facilitate payments to sellers.
  • Adopt seller selection processes and maintain fair competition.
  • Gather data on potential sellers and analyze procurement proposals.
  • Generate list of preferred sellers and support contract negotiations.
  • Monitor procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing.
  • Maintain stock item codes and conduct regular stock checks.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation for timely delivery to construction sites.
  • Track shipments, manage delays, and optimize routes with logistics partners.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Develop procurement plan
  • Deploy organization's procurement activities based on established product specifications and customer needs.

  • Manage working level relationships with organizational network and external vendors for optimal procurement transactions.

  • Monitor compliance of organisation’s procurement targets.

Manage procurement activities
  • Determine inventory levels of products in organization.

  • Preparing purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts as needed.

  • Conduct checks on documentation required for trade transactions.

  • Collaborate with sales and finance departments to facilitate payment processes to sellers.

Manage seller selection process
  • Adopt selection processes and criteria with sellers to ensure fair competition.

  • Gather data on potential sellers that fulfil procurement requirements.

  • Analyze draft proposal and/or procurement specifications to ensure alignment with procurement requirements.

  • Generate list of preferred sellers in accordance with organization's selection processes.

  • Support negotiation efforts with information on agreed contract terms and conditions with preferred sellers.

Cost Management and Budget Control
  • Monitor and control procurement expenses, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and optimize budget allocations.

  • Analyze market trends and pricing.

Inventory management
  • Maintain well‑structured stock item code.

  • Conduct regular stock checks, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory records accurately in the system.

Logistics and Distribution
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials, ensuring timely delivery to construction sites.

  • Track rack shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and address any delays or issues to minimize disruptions.

  • Collaborate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transporters to optimize routes, reduce costs, and enhance delivery efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Min 2 -5 years’ experience in purchasing roles (in Construction industry)

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry best practices.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in supply chain operations.
