Job summary

A leading consulting firm based in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage the BCBS 239 compliance validation program. This 6-month contract role involves designing validation processes, leading testing activities, and preparing compliance reports for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of experience in risk management, audit, or compliance, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is required. Competitive salary offered up to $13,000.

Job description

The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end validation process for the BCBS 239 (Basel’s Principles for effective risk data aggregation and reporting) compliance validation program. This is a 6 months contract role until end of June 2025.

6 month contract

Location: Central

Salary up to $13000

Responsibilities
  • Design the validation testing processes and procedures for BCBS 239 compliance validation
  • Lead validation testing activities and manage the validation workflow
  • Form an overall view of the Bank’s compliance with BCBS 239
  • Maintain an efficient and auditable database of validation records and evidence
Compliance Validation
  • Ensure effective implementation of BCBS 239 validation testing and procedures and ensure their alignment with the compliance validation methodology
  • Maintain the repository of validation test questions covering all aspects of BCBS 239
  • Plan and perform validation on the policies and processes of various units being validated
  • Initiate engagement process and guide discussions with key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach in agreeing validation outcomes
Reporting and Monitoring
  • Monitor and report the Bank’s status of compliance with BCBS 239 and implementation status of remediation actions
  • Liaise with stakeholders to track the implementation of remediation plans and outcomes
  • Monitor outstanding issues highlighted in validation findings
  • Prepare compliance status reports to the Board, Senior Management and/or regulators
Requirements
  • A degree holder with minimum 9 years’ working experience in a role within risk management, audit or compliance
  • Adequate understanding of the banking regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of banking, policies, processes, controls and systems
  • Experience and good understanding of data management principles, including controls and governance (preferred)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good analytical skills and sound judgment
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Team player with good inter‑personnal and communication skills, and the ability to work with multiple cross‑functional stakeholders
