A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Commodity Insurance Broker for a role based in Dubai. The successful candidate will establish a book of business and handle existing and new insurance contracts within the commodity trade sector. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in legal or insurance roles within commodity trading and be fluent in English. Remote working options from the UAE or Abu Dhabi are available.

• Ability to maintain high standards across relationships in commodities insurance.
• Strong understanding of marine, shipping, and commodity insurance products.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with an independent broker house looking to hire a commodity focussed insurance broker to join their team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Establish a book of business within commodity trade insurance
• Maintaining high standards of existing relationships across MENA, Pan-Africa and Asia across the current services offered (marine, shipping and commodity insurance)
• Assist with existing and new insurance contracts – actively participating in the discussions and negotiations
• Handle claims, including client risk management and insurance coverage issues
• Role reports to Managing Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in a legal, insurance or risk management focused role within a commodity trading house or freight and shipping.
• Demonstrate an understanding on current products (e.g marine, shipping, commodity insurance)
• Open to a background in Commodity Trade and Risk Management (CTRM) software sales or within an operations role looking to move to a broker role
• Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages are advantageous
• Role is located in Dubai, remote working from the UAE or Abu Dhabi is an option.
