Job description

The Singapore Sports School Bowling Academy is looking for a driven, forward-thinking and athlete-centric coach to develop the next generation of national champions.

Working in close partnership with the Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF), our Academy has a strong track record of grooming elite bowlers. Many of our student‑athletes have progressed into SBF’s National Development Squad (NDS), and past and present Sports School bowlers now make up more than half of the current National Squad.

As a coach in our Bowling Academy, you will be a key member of our high‑performance programme. Under the guidance of the Bowling Academy Head Coach, you will:

  • Design and deliver progressive, high‑performance training and competition plans for Centre of Excellence (COE) and NDS student‑athletes, while anchored on long‑term athlete development principles.
  • Drive performance outcomes through purposeful planning, data‑informed adjustments and high‑quality on‑lane coaching.
  • Track, analyse and communicate progress of each student‑athlete, providing clear and regular updates to student‑athletes and their parents.
  • Collaborate closely with the stakeholders to align programmes with national pathways and objectives.
  • Champion holistic development, supporting student‑athletes in balancing sporting excellence with academic and character growth.

If you are:

  • Driven and committed to unlocking young athletes’ potential.
  • Athlete‑centred and engaging, able to connect with and inspire student‑athletes.
  • Passionate about long‑term talent development, not just short‑term wins.
  • Collaborative and professional, thriving in a high‑expectation, team‑based environment.

Apply now to be part of Singapore Sports School’s Bowling Academy and help write the next chapter of our national bowling success story.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ coaching experience with elite and developmental youth bowlers
  • SBF Technical Level 2 (or higher)
  • Strong grasp of sports science and long‑term athlete development for elite youth sport
  • Proven ability in values education and character development
  • Excellent planning, administration and organisation skills
  • Effective English communication with student‑athletes and stakeholders
  • Valid Standard First Aid + CPR/AED certification
  • MOE‑registered coach
  • SG‑Coach Level 1 (or equivalent) and registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC)
