A leading hospitality group in Singapore is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to manage a designated section of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, a commitment to high-quality food preparation and presentation, and experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role requires shift work, including evenings and weekends.
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. This role requires strong culinary skills, organization, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team under pressure.
Take full responsibility for a designated kitchen section (e.g. grill, sauce, pastry, or larder)
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s standards
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation at all times
Supervise and support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants in your section
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Contribute ideas for menu development and improvements when required
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef
Solid knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Good time management and attention to detail
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Culinary qualification (preferred but not always required)
Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Standing for long periods
