Job summary

Hai Sing Pte Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced Chinese F&B environment. The role involves food preparation, cooking assistance, plating, and packing to meet menu standards.

Qualified candidates should have 1–3 years in Chinese F&B, Mandarin language ability, and preferably a Food Safety course completion. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am–7pm, with priority given to Singapore Citizens.

Qualifications

• Mandarin language fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu and company standards.
• Assist in ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation consistently meet expectations.
• Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients such as vegetables and meat.
• Assist with cooking preparation, plating, portioning, and packing of food.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering kitchen supplies and preparing shopping lists.
• Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and stock rotation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation and follow food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with receiving and organising food deliveries.
• Support and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Guide and assist Kitchen Assistants with daily kitchen tasks when required.
• Minimise food wastage and ensure proper use of kitchen supplies and resources.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned

Experience: Preferably 1–3 years of experience in Chinese F&B

Language: Able to speak Mandarin

Food Safety: Preferably has completed a Food Safety Course
