The role involves supporting daily kitchen duties, ingredient preparation, mise en place, food handling and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and public holiday work are required per roster.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in kitchen or F&B preferred.
• Chinese restaurant kitchen experience advantageous.
• Basic food-preparation and knife skills preferred.
• Familiar with mise en place and general kitchen operations.
• Able to support chefs efficiently during busy service periods.
• Physically fit for a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good personal hygiene and food-safety awareness.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to roster.

Aufgaben

• Assist chefs with washing, cutting, portioning and preparing ingredients.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, seafood and other ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
• Carry out mise en place before service.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies during service periods.
• Assist chefs with basic cooking and plating when required.
• Receive and store ingredients according to food-safety procedures.
• Maintain proper stock rotation and ingredient freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Support opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene and kitchen operating procedures.
• Assist other kitchen sections during busy periods when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
