Job summary

Hai Sing Pte Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced Chinese F&B environment. The role involves food preparation, cooking assistance, plating, and packing to meet menu standards.

Qualified candidates should have 1–3 years in Chinese F&B, Mandarin language ability, and preferably a Food Safety course completion. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am–7pm, with priority given to Singapore Citizens.

Qualifications

Mandarin language fluency required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu and company standards.
Assist in ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation consistently meet expectations.
Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients such as vegetables and meat.
Assist with cooking preparation, plating, portioning, and packing of food.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering kitchen supplies and preparing shopping lists.
Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and stock rotation.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation and follow food hygiene and safety standards.
Assist with receiving and organising food deliveries.
Support and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Guide and assist Kitchen Assistants with daily kitchen tasks when required.
Minimise food wastage and ensure proper use of kitchen supplies and resources.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
