Job summary

A local cake production company in Singapore is seeking a team member to assist in various cake production tasks, including assembling and decorating cakes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting R&D for new products. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with cakes and pastries, especially Asian styles, and be able to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cake and pastry production.
• Knowledge of local/Asian style cakes and pastries.
• Ability to conduct quality control.

• Assemble and decorate cakes based on existing menus.
• Maintain quality control to ensure product consistency.
• Collaborate on R&D to create new products.

Job description

Your Job functions and Responsibilities:

• Be part of a small team and pre-take in Day-to-Day operations to ensure products are produced in accordance with the existent menu cards (assemble cakes, cream cakes, decorate cakes, etc)
• Hands-on production of cakes & pastries according to requirements (Whole Cakes, Sliced Cakes, Design Cakes, Festive Products, etc)
• Conduct & maintain QC to ensure consistency of products, ensure all met standard at all times
• Be part of team and partake in R&D plans to create new products
• Liaise with supplier for ordering of ingredients. Inspect the quality of incoming stocks and ingredients
• Ensure the kitchen equipment is in good conditions, and work area is clean at all times and meets all SFA requirements
• Knowledge and experience with local/Asian style cakes & pastries (Sponge Cakes, Chiffon Cakes, Asian flavours and pairing) preferred
