Job description

Reporting to Business Development Director, Senior Business Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of the Marketing Platform business. You will focus on securing and retaining client accounts through professional, consultative sales activities, building trusted client relationships and an in-depth knowledge of key client accounts. You will be inspired to propose a range of multichannel communication and engagement solutions targeting healthcare professionals (HCPs) for industry partners, such as consumer care, medical devices, and pharmaceutical companies.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
  • Drive business development for assigned key accounts to achieve and exceed order and revenue targets, working closely with the account service team to develop and execute targeted media sales plans aligned with client objectives.
  • Build strong consultative relationships with clients by understanding their strategic priorities and recommending the most effective media mix and content marketing solutions to meet their goals.
  • Create and deliver compelling, best-in‑class pitches that highlight MIMS’ capabilities across HCP multichannel campaigns, including advertising, editorial, multimedia, and online CME.
  • Lead RFI/RFP processes end‑to‑end, including proposal and budget development, as well as procurement negotiations to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals and solutions are innovative, market‑relevant, and aligned with evolving client needs and industry trends.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to establish Master Services Agreements and pursue preferred supplier status with key accounts where appropriate.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging client demands to identify opportunities for new product and solution development that enhance MIMS’ competitive edge.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports to forecast revenue, track pipeline progress, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
Key Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of sales, marketing, business development or key account management experience ideally in an advertising agency, medical communications agency, medical education provider, Healthcare/Biotech media, pharmaceutical or equivalent environment
  • Experience managing a matrix structure to achieve results
  • Strategically minded with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities
  • Knowledge of HCP engagement strategies and multichannel media solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong scientific curiosity with a university degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a scientific subject preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience is a plus
