CORA Environment is building a future where sustainability and circular economy principles drive real impact. We are seeking a Business Development Manager-Strategic Partnerships to spearhead our partnership ecosystem and lead initiatives that transform recycling behaviors and industry collaboration.

This role will be pivotal in designing, executing, and scaling strategic partnership programs such as the Closed-Loop Partners Network, CORA Recycling Mark, and School Recycling League. You will work closely with the Head of Business Intelligence & Strategic Partnerships to develop innovative engagement models, secure high-value collaborations, and deliver measurable environmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnerships Development
  • Identify, engage, and onboard corporate, institutional and community partners into CORA’s sustainability programs.

  • Develop and manage the Closed-Loop Partners Network, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders such as recyclers, manufacturers etc.

  • Drive adoption of the CORA Recycling Mark as a recognized sustainability standard.

  • Expand the School Recycling League, creating impactful educational and engagement programs.

  • End-to-End Partnership Management

  • Design partnership frameworks, agreements, and performance metrics.

  • Lead negotiations and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, impact, and ROI.

Business Development & Growth
  • Develop strategies to scale partnership programs nationally and regionally.

  • Identify new revenue streams and sponsorship opportunities tied to sustainability initiatives.

  • Represent CORA at industry events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.

Operational Excellence
  • Work closely with internal teams and business units to ensure strategic alignment across all partnership initiatives.

  • Support strategic planning and forecasting activities.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence team for data-driven insights on recycling trends.

  • Support operational excellence in call center and customer engagement as programs grow.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or related field.

  • 2+ years in business development, partnerships, or sustainability programs.

  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
