As a Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our strategic expansion into new, high-growth international markets. You\'ll lead all business development efforts, from identifying opportunities to closing complex deals and managing a team to ensure success. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven ability to turn strategic plans into tangible results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Expansion: Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive business development strategies to penetrate new markets in exotic and challenging territories.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Business Development Executives, providing them with the guidance and support needed to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Establish Key Partnerships: Oversee the process of establishing and managing a robust network of agents, dealers, and distributors.
- Market Analysis & Intelligence: Direct and conduct in-depth market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities in key industries such as forestry and mining.
- Pipeline and Project Management: Take full ownership of the sales pipeline, from lead generation and sales potential evaluation to the successful execution of special projects.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly sales reports, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering departments to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to market penetration and growth.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Education: A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team. Must possess exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
