Business Analyst (Contract)

Location: Singapore

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting strategic and operational transformation initiatives across Global Markets Operations (GMO). This role involves analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to design solutions that enhance efficiency and compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technology teams—often in a virtual environment—to deliver high-quality business requirements and process workflows. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential to bridge business needs with technology solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate workshops and working group discussions with GMO teams across regions, as well as internal and external stakeholders (including Exchanges, Business, and Technology teams).
  • Analyze business and system requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process workflows.
  • Support project managers in managing workstreams, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to validate requirements and ensure successful implementation.
  • Assist in preparing project dashboards, reports, and documentation for governance routines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and control requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote innovation by introducing new ideas, tools, and methodologies to improve business analysis practices.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Technology, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within Financial Services or Operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; ability to communicate clearly across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and familiarity with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Knowledge of AI concepts and experience using AI-powered tools (i.e. Copilot) for reporting or automation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Global Markets Operations or Investment Banking.
  • Knowledge of structured business analysis methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Familiarity with Agile project delivery frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI-driven tools and automation concepts for process improvement.
