Job Description
- Understand the BRD and conduct requirement gathering by brainstorming, workshops, questionnaires, and working with stakeholders of the cash management team including Global and in‑country Product Managers, Client Services, Implementation, Operations and Finance.
- Map identified functional requirements to high‑value and cross‑border payments, preferably Global Pay Plus (GPP) and any of Immediate Payments (IPS) processing products, and define a solution to fulfill payment processing.
- Do fit‑gap analysis of the business requirements and design solutions to minimise gaps by using product capabilities.
- Provide defect triage analysis of issues raised by the Quality Assurance team.
- Identify the scope of the requirements, validate the requirements.
- Work with Lead Business Analyst and the Technology partner (Solution Architects) to agree on the solution.
- Act as a liaison between business users, operations and developers.
- Prepare various documents such as BRD, FSD and review SIT test scenarios and test cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for product collateral and training needs.
- Be overall responsible for ensuring user acceptance testing for all streams.
- Work with integration partners and other vendors within the bank.
- Identify and resolve issues and manage project risks, supporting different teams and chairing and documenting meetings.
- Work with SIT & UAT testing teams, review test scenarios, test cases and help developers and testers clear doubts about the requirements.
- Support business users for UAT of new payment products and cash management reporting solutions.
- Support operations and business users to complete testing.
- Lead defect management related activities.
The Successful Applicant
The position requires a minimum of 9 years relevant business analyst experience with banking IT systems (payment systems and core banking applications) and experience of at least one full‑cycle implementation of high‑value/cross‑border/instant payment platforms for any country or region, preferably in Europe.
Functional Skills
- Good functional knowledge of payment platforms for domestic (specifically on Immediate Payments) and cross‑border payments as administrator with a strong capability to provide in‑house solutions via business configuration.
- Hands‑on experience with payment systems and exposure to payment hubs, clearing and settlement, automated clearing house programs and channels.
- Extensive knowledge of various payment products such as RTGS (Euro1, TARGET2, CHATS, MEPS+ etc.), cross‑border payments with SWIFT interfacing, domestic mass payments and instant payments.
- Proficient in user acceptance testing (UAT), functional & system integration testing of banking and financial applications.

Mandatory Skills
- Holding a degree in accounting, finance or IT.
- Excellent knowledge of corporate & investment banking and different financial products including but not limited to retail banking, wholesale & corporate banking, corporate commercial payments, international & domestic payments, payment hubs/factory, ACH, real‑time payments, cash & liquidity management, compliance/AML, FX, messaging (Swift and ISO).
- Experience in all phases of the IT system development life cycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment and support).
- Good exposure to software engineering best practices.
- Experience working in agile development methodology.
- Hands‑on experience with BDD framework and UML (for use case / business case definitions).
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and methodologies to work with automation testers.
- Comfortable working with SQL database queries.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
