Your Role
You are expected to maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, cost control measures and setting goals.
- Determine staffing needs, recruitment, and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.
- Track staff performance, and assess development and coaching needs
- Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff by communicating company policy, standards and procedures to staff.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards
- Ensure adherence to stock control procedures, and monitor and order supplies.
- Make certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct, and stored to reduce wastage.
- Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that the bar is well staffed during peak hours.
- Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls, ensuring that industry-specific quality and safety guidelines are followed by all staff
- Ability to communicate calmly and effectively to diffuse tense interactions that might occur to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere for both guests and staff
- Generate and present financial reports, implement improvements for products and service, and maintain regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification preferred
- Food Safety Certification (Preferred)
- Adaptable and able to work flexible hours and able to accommodate operational requirements
- Experience in the management of a bar or beverage service operation
- Complete working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of cost control procedures
- Displaying good hygiene standards, well-groomed and highly motivated individual

- Salary Range: Based on Experience
