Job summary

A leading audit and advisory firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager to enhance its audit methodology and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying comprehensive auditing standards and ethical guidelines, while also providing audit technical support and coaching to teams. Ideally, you should have at least 3 years of relevant audit experience, proficiency in CaseWare and IDEA, and a keen interest in continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to drive quality management within a respected firm.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of audit experience, preferably with large/medium-sized public auditing firms.
  • Familiarity with ethical standards issued by IESBA.
  • Proven ability to develop audit policies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Review audit policies and procedures for compliance with professional standards.
  • Enhance the firm’s quality management system.
  • Develop templates in CaseWare for audit support.

About the role

Moore Stephens LLP is looking for a Assistant Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for improvement; both in our processes and in yourself. You will be responsible to help us streamline and enhance our audit methodology and processes using CaseWare, IDEA and other audit tools. You will be a specialist in the application of the full suite of auditing standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and ethical standards issued by the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA). You will help to ensure the highest levels of quality and compliance in the firm, through the development of audit policies, procedures, and methodology, participation in quality reviews, and consultations with the audit practice.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of the Firm’s technical team in reviewing audit policies and procedures in response to professional auditing and ethical standards.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of the firm’s system of quality management.
  • Develop audit support content in CaseWare and offline auditing templates to support compliance with professional auditing and ethical standards.
  • Provide audit technical support, including CaseWare-related matters, to the audit practice by way of formal and informal consultations to support high quality audits.
  • Support professional learning and development in the areas of audit methodology, ethics, as well as the use of CaseWare and other audit tools.
  • Provide coaching to engagement teams to improve the quality of the audit file, and identify opportunities for audit improvements and efficiencies.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the full suite of auditing standards issued by IAASB, and ethical standards issued by IESBA.
  • Experience in the use of CaseWare, IDEA, and CaseWare Financials.
  • At least 3 years of audit experience,preferably with large/ medium size public auditing firms.
