About the Role

As a Associate Fine Fragrance Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping olfactive strategies and developing winning fragrances that drive mutual success for dsm-firmenich and our clients.
You’ll partner closely with Fine Fragrance perfumers—bringing consumer insights, trend awareness, and creative vision to the table—to craft scents that inspire, delight, and perform.

With your deep expertise, collaborative mindset, and leadership in evaluation, you’ll guide projects from concept to launch and represent our creative excellence in client interactions and presentations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop winning fragrances that embody the creative and commercial ambitions of both dsm-firmenich and our clients’ brands.
  • Partner with perfumers by sharing the latest consumer trends, cross-category insights, and creative inspiration, helping to spark bold, original ideas.
  • Curate and refine fragrance submissions to meet brief parameters, providing clear rationale and maintaining a strategically relevant fragrance collection.
  • Identify and forecast future fragrance and product trends, translating insights into actionable creative strategies across categories.
  • Play a pivotal role in defining and executing account strategies, collaborating with Marketing, Consumer Insights, Perfumers, Technical Innovation, and Sales.
  • Lead and contribute to client presentations, articulating olfactive strategies with confidence and passion.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the global Fine Fragrance market and regional trends to ensure continued creative and strategic relevance.

What You Bring
  • 3–5 years of experience in Fragrance Development, Scent Design, or Evaluation, preferably in the Fine Fragrance category.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (ISIPCA or equivalent fragrance education preferred).
  • Passion for the fragrance and beauty industry and curiosity for emerging trends.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in digital tools, strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently and across teams.
  • Fluency in English (additional Asian language skills a plus).
