Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Senior Technician / Assistant Service Engineer to join our Remanufacturing & Overhaul team in Singapore. This workshop‑based role focuses on the repair, overhaul, and testing of key engine components that support both classic and modern fleets in the region.

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. Its product portfolio includes mtu‑brand high‑speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles, as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission‑critical, standby and continuous power. Rolls‑Royce continually pioneers integrated power and propulsion solutions to deliver cleaner, safer and more competitive power.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform mechanical repair, disassembly, reassembly, and overhaul of diesel engine components (e.g., cylinder heads, water pumps, turbochargers) in accordance with OEM standards.
  • Ensure all repair work meets quality and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
  • Support engine/component troubleshooting and functional testing during bench‑test activities.
  • Apply knowledge of fuel system components such as injectors, fuel pumps and governors (added advantage).
  • Conduct improvement projects to enhance productivity, safety or process efficiency within the workshop.
  • Liaise with supervisors for technical clarifications when needed.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Contribute to achieving department KPIs in quality, safety, efficiency and throughput.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / NITEC / ITE in Marine Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in diesel engine component overhaul or mechanical maintenance.
  • Proficient in using common workshop tools (e.g., torque wrenches, powered hand tools).
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A team player with a collaborative and safety‑first mindset.
