Job summary

A leading food industry company in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in the foodservice sector. The role includes managing a commercial team, providing forecasts, and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and manage sales operations in the foodservice sector.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate the commercial and technical team.
  • Provide and execute forecast and budget on revenue and expenses.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts for timely payments and collections.
  • Collect, record, and report market and customer data.
  • Organize and execute events like exhibitions and presentations.
  • Liaise with various departments to support customer and partner needs.
  • Complete other sales operations tasks assigned by management.

Position: Assistant Sales Manager

Reporting to: Head Of Department – Commercial

Remuneration: S$3800 to S$6,000 monthly

Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1. Plan, execute and manage sales operations in the foodservice sector to actively develop businesses and maintain good relationship with new and existing customers;
  • 2. Assist to lead, guide, manage, and motivate the commercial and technical team to identify, develop, and increase businesses to meet and exceed set objectives;
  • 3. Provide and execute forecast and budget on revenue as well as expenses. Encourage full usage of budget to maximize sales, and at the same time ensure expenses are kept to the minimum;
  • 4. Constantly monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure all payments and collections are made on time and of the right amount;
  • 5. Constantly collect, record and report on information, intelligence, feedback, comments and related data on markets, customers, competitions and such others;
  • 6. Assist in organizing and executing events such as exhibition, road show, taste-test, sampling, presentation and such other activities;
  • 7. Liaise and coordinate with various departments of the company to support and assist customers and partners in their sales, marketing and communication needs;
  • 8. Other tasks related to sales operations assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 1. Minimum 3 years’ sales management experience preferably in food, beverage, or FMCG industry;
  • 2. Degree or Diploma holder, preferably in business, sales & marketing, management or related field;
  • 3. Focused, committed, a good communicator and leader;
  • 4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to travel overseas occasionally.
