Job description

Our esteemed client in the Construction industry is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor Manager to join their dynamic team.

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Manager
  • Location: Changi
  • Working Hours: 5 days, 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • Salary Package: Up to $10,000 + Bonus
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of QS in all post-contract administration, including cost control, claims processing, and final account settlement.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, control cash flow, and prepare monthly cost reports for financial tracking and forecasting.
  • Administer the main contract and subcontracts, managing all variations, progress claims, extension of time requests, and loss and expense claims.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and award subcontractor and supplier packages in alignment with project budgets and procurement strategies.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues and ensure strict contract compliance.
  • Certify subcontractor payments, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives to enhance project profitability.
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant contract standards and local regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate commercial documentation and records.
  • Participate in project meetings and audits, providing critical commercial oversight.
Job Requirements
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in QS, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at a managerial or senior level, preferably within a main-con environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard construction contracts, contract law, and local regulatory standards.
  • Strong understanding of local construction costs, materials, and procurement practices.
  • Proficiency in QS software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to start in short notice or immediately.
