About the Role:
The Assistant Engineer, QAQC is responsible for performing high-quality repair and maintenance of medical endoscopes and related equipment in accordance with regulatory and quality standards. This role supports the QAQC Team Leader in overseeing team operations, including monitoring and managing quality assurance activities for service equipment within the Regional Repair Center (RRC). Roles and Responsibilities:
Repair and Maintenance Operations
- Execute maintenance-related system operations (e.g., acceptance, quotation, repair completion, and return) using SAP and other business systems with minimal supervision.
- Review and confirm quotations and parts orders in a timely manner to ensure smooth and rapid repair turnaround.
- Ensure all repair work meets technical, safety, and quality requirements under GDDS compliance.
Quality and Process Management
- Assist the QAQC Team Leader in monitoring and managing all quality assurance assessments and processes for service equipment.
- Support in identifying workflow issues, documenting observations, and escalating to management for discussion and resolution.
- Manage and monitor Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) control processes, ensuring timely closure and proper documentation.
- Verify completion of quality checklists and engineers’ process checks in the RRC workshop.
Technical and Documentation Support
- Review, update, and distribute relevant technical documents and service information.
- Provide assistance to the QARA team in managing customer complaints promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDocP) and maintain accurate, legible, and traceable records at all times.
Training, Collaboration, and Customer Engagement
- Facilitate cross-training and knowledge sharing within the team to strengthen collective technical capability and operational efficiency.
- Adopt a customer‑centric approach and build strong customer relationships by delivering quality service and reliable solutions.
Workplace and Compliance Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with GDPMDS SS620:2016 and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with GQMS and Olympus requirements.
- Uphold 5S practices and ensure cleanliness and organization of individual, incoming, and outgoing work areas.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent transferable skills (training will be provided).
- Familiarity with medical device regulations (GDPMDS, SS 620:2016, MDR, FDA) and CAPA process management is preferred but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
