About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Assistant/Architectural Manager to play a pivotal role in our pre-construction and tender phases for large-scale building projects. This position requires a unique blend of deep architectural expertise, commercial acumen, and construction knowledge. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in leading our architectural technical submissions, identifying value-engineering opportunities, and mitigating risks during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and tender stages to secure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction & Tendering (Primary Focus):
  • Lead the architectural review and analysis of tender documents, specifications, and drawings for large-scale building works.
  • Identify, assess, and articulate potential design conflicts, buildability issues, and technical risks within tender drawings, providing strategic solutions to enhance our competitive position.
  • Act as the key architectural authority during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases, providing professional expertise to advise on construction methodologies, value engineering, material selection, and design optimization to save time and costs.
  • Prepare and oversee the timely submission of high-quality architectural tender packages, including detailed method statements, technical clarifications, and value-add proposals.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and design teams during tender negotiations to align project vision with practical and budgetary constraints.
Construction & Execution:
  • Plan and coordinate all architectural trade work, including finishes, and ensure seamless interfacing with structural, M&E, and facade systems.
  • Ensure all on-site architectural and interior works are executed per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct rigorous routine inspections to ensure work progress aligns with the project schedule, approved design, and all EHS and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and their supervisors to ensure smooth execution and adherence to project milestones.
Requirements:
  • A recognized Diploma in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with a significant portion gained in aleading Architectural/Construction Firm and subsequently in aDesign & Build contracting environment.
  • Proven track record in thetendering and pre-construction phasefor large-scale, iconic, high-rise building projects (100m+ height experience is a distinct advantage).
  • Demonstrable experience inECI processes, with a history of providing cost and time-saving design solutions without compromising quality or design intent.
  • Exceptional ability to critically analyze architectural drawings and specifications to identify risks and opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and authority submission processes.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Responsible and meticulous, with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
