Citi Commercial Cards is the leading provider of Commercial Card solutions to multi-national companies, middle market and public sector clients, offering global payment capabilities in over 100 countries; where North Asia (JANA) and South Asia (AS) clusters play a pivotal role in the overall franchise. The business is focused at providing Travel & Entertainment (T&E) and Business-to-Business (B2B) product verticals which form the core of Citi’s business spend management offering, leveraged by over 8+ million cardholders worldwide.

Reporting to the Asia Commercial Cards Head, this role drives execution of Citi’s business growth strategy & commercialization across all B2B segments, consisting of Accounts Payable and eCommerce. The key enablers of these flows are Citi’s Purchasing, Virtual Cards and Mobile Payments offering, and their integrations with key third-party applications across Citi’s network.

The role will ensure organizational awareness of relevant trends & innovations in the Asia B2B & eCommerce space and own the product roadmap to enhance and differentiate Citi’s product offering going forward. The role will interact externally with partners and clients and will collaborate with stakeholders from Sales, Account Management, Onboarding, Operations and Technology teams on both, strategic as well as tactical level, in order to deliver results and accomplishments.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategy, performance and positioning for Citi Commercial Cards within the Purchasing and Payables, and Ecommerce spaces.
  • As subject matter expert, champion the Asia-wide commercialization of Citi’s Plastic and Virtual card offerings, by addressing client needs and opportunities in a manner that drives incremental value, spend volumes and revenue.
  • Implementation of a best‑in‑class supplier enablement framework, with robust and globally consistent processes to increase card spend on existing clients.
  • Expansion of strategic partnership capabilities across Asia, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, implementation as well as governance ownership, in order to enhance Citi’s B2B product proposition.
  • Manage day‑to‑day product relationships with Payment Associations (Mastercard, Visa) collaboratively and efficiently.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate Europe / US time zones interactions with a degree of business travel is expected.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience, preferably across Banking & Payments spaces
  • Expertise in Commercial cards and/or Payables experience a distinct advantage
  • Familiarity with Procurement and Card Acceptance processes is good to have.
  • Familiarity with Asia business trends, markets specifics and nuances are good to have.
  • Proven record of successful execution of partnerships and/or successful product ventures
  • Driven, results‑oriented, critical thinker, with strong project management / product lifecycle skills
  • Strong and clear communicator at strategic, as well as tactical level in a matrixed and cross‑functional environment.
  • Since the role requires interaction and managing clients from different language speaking background, knowledge of additional Asian language skillset, especially Bahasa, Mandarin, Korean or Japanese is Good to Have.
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or Equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree is "Good to Have".
