Job Title: Application Production Support Engineer (Contract )

Employment Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract under NTT, based at client site ( a leading global bank )

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical banking applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in scripting, modern application platforms, and debugging/monitoring, ensuring smooth operations, performance, and reliability of applications in production.

Note: This role is focused on Application/Production Support. Candidates with only Infrastructure/Desktop/EUC support experience will not be considered.

Work Location: MBFC or Changi Business Park, Singapore

Key Responsibilities

• Scripting & Automation: Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation scripts using Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Modern Application Platforms: Provide production support for systems running on PCF, OpenShift, AWS EKS, and other cloud services.
• Debugging & Monitoring: Utilize Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Kibana (KQL) and tracing systems to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Database Proficiency: Perform PL/SQL queries, scripts, and troubleshooting to support production stability.
• Linux Administration: Manage and support applications hosted on Linux servers, ensuring uptime and performance.
• Incident & RCA Handling: Lead incident management, perform root cause analysis, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Code Flow Analysis: Trace through Java and .NET applications to identify error conditions and unexpected behaviors.
• Release & Change Management: Support deployment activities, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure minimal business impact.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain knowledge base, prepare incident reports, and provide insights to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–9 years of Application/Production Support experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong skills in Shell/Python/PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, OCP, EKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools (Splunk, Kibana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
• Strong proficiency in SQL/PLSQL.
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals.
• Ability to analyze Java/.NET code flows to support troubleshooting.
• Excellent incident management, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
