Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for an Application Engineer/Field Support Engineer to provide application support and handle customer technical issues. This permanent role involves troubleshooting and conducting training, requiring a degree in Engineering and proficiency in C++/C# programming. Applicants must have a solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems. The position also requires traveling within Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering required, ideally related to Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• Proficient in C++ and C# programming languages is necessary.
• Solid understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support including software and hardware integration.
• Address technical support issues using Salesforce case tickets.
• Conduct technical verification and onsite troubleshooting when required.

Skills

C++/C# .NET programming

Knowledge of Windows operating system

Knowledge of Linux operating system

Understanding of electronic circuits

Education

• Position Title: Application Engineer/Field Support Engineer
• Working Location: Woodlands
• Working Hours: 5 days, Monday – Friday (9am – 6pm)
• Salary Package: Basic + Transport Allowance + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Offer application support for customers, including hardware/software integration and sample code preparation.
• Handle technical support issues through Salesforce case tickets.
• Conduct technical verification of equipment, offer onsite troubleshooting when needed, and provide value-added services.
• Manage product testing and RMA handling within Singapore.
• Serve as a liaison between regional offices and headquarters for technical requirements and escalate advanced support issues.
• Deliver training to sales channel partners and direct customers.
• Develop and prepare technical demonstrations and presentations.
• Support tradeshows and seminars.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
