Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a Sales Application like you to bring expertise to our team. You will be responsible for all technical queries related to project execution as well as pre‑sales activities to support the sales team from generating sales quotations, installation and commissioning of our KPP systems in Asia Pacific. You will work together with the KPP sales, project and service departments, Rolls Royce Distributors, System Integrators, Liege factory, End‑User, contractors and suppliers.

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu‑brand high‑speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
  • Apply understanding of gas turbine product operation, product systems, sub‑systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces.
  • Design of systems using Systems Engineering principals including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub‑system level.
  • Problem resolution experience including ownership of, for example: root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs). Dealing with ambiguity.
  • Applying knowledge of the importance of determining, managing & flowing system level requirements.
  • Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.
  • Verifying that the system meets the requirements and ownership of standardisation reports.
  • Good inter‑personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence all levels including the customer.
  • Work with and co‑ordinate extended (i.e. not necessarily co‑located) multi‑disciplinary teams.
Essential Job Functions
  • Min. Education Level : Diploma or Degree
  • Field of Study : Electrical Engineering
  • Affiliation with Diesel Engines and or Power Generation.
  • Working knowledge MV & LV critical power installations.
  • Experience required : 5 years in Power Generation Industry
  • Good communication skills, math, teamwork, analytical and critical for him/herself.
  • Clients orientated and commercial sense
  • Ability to understand single‑line drawings
